Worship and Evangelism Pastor

Nate Barbour, Worship & Evangelism Pastor at Harvest, was born and raised in Travelers Rest, SC, with his twin brother, Gregg. He earned his BA in Christian Studies from North Greenville University in 2002. Following his graduation, he moved to Augusta, GA, to take a Youth Pastor position at Good News Church. In December of 2002, he married his wife, Kristen. They enjoy doing ministry together and spending time with their wonderful children, Karis, Atalie & Nolan.

In 2017, the Kerysso Project released Nate’s first book, Shockwave, which chronicles his amazing journey into a passion for evangelism. After over 17 years of service at Good News Church, Nate and his family sensed God leading them to move to Columbia, SC. Hearing from the Lord about being called to this area as “reinforcements,” they immediately launched a faith-based non-profit called Lifegivers Co. to train believers, coach churches, and catalyze movements in the Midlands. One year after their courageous move to Columbia, in September of 2020, the Lord opened a door for Nate to come on full-time at Harvest Church, where he now oversees various areas including worship & production, student ministry, and our strategic evangelism efforts.

Nate has played guitar since he was 15 years old and loves to see the younger generation worship Jesus. He is also an avid Superman fan and movie buff. Maybe ask him about one of his two favorite movies, The Princess Bride and The Wizard of Oz.
